Artificial Turf in Stellar Airpark, Chandler

Stellar Airpark is a residential airpark about three miles west of downtown Chandler, where homeowners share a privately owned runway that's open to public use.

Some properties have hangars next to the house, and yards here tend to be larger. Turf near hangar aprons needs closely nailed edges and well-settled infill so it stays in place, and we keep it clear of areas the airpark association maintains.

The City of Chandler's grass removal rebate doesn't cover artificial turf. The City says any landscaped area converted to artificial turf won't qualify, and the rebate itself is for living grass converted to low-water landscaping. If you're counting on that rebate, ask the City's Water Conservation Office about your plan before the grass comes out.
