Turf Rules and Rebates in Chandler

The City of Chandler's grass removal rebate doesn't cover artificial turf. The City says any landscaped area converted to artificial turf won't qualify, and the rebate itself is for living grass converted to low-water landscaping. If you're counting on that rebate, ask the City's Water Conservation Office about your plan before the grass comes out.

The City of Chandler notes that artificial turf can reach 180 degrees in summer and suggests shade trees to help control the heat. We plan turf around existing shade, add shade sails or trees where you'll spend time, and leave a hose bib close by for a quick rinse on hot afternoons.

The City's rebate rules also remind homeowners that a new landscape has to comply with their HOA's CC&Rs. Many Chandler HOAs review front-yard turf, so we hand you the product specs, a sample and a drawn layout to submit before we schedule.
